McCoy Tree Surgery knows the importance of the urban
forest, and they are committed to educating their employees and the
public. Every McCoy’s division manager and lead foreman has the
opportunity to train and test to become a Certified Arborist. McCoy’s
pays the entire training cost. Last fall, a member of the McCoy team
read about the Ardmore Tree Board’s "Share the Shade" program and
decided to get his company involved. He saw it as a chance to share his
knowledge about trees.
This year, McCoy Tree Surgery planted the trees in Ardmore’s
"Share the Shade" project. McCoy brought in 18 employees from seven
different counties and six people from their Oklahoma City office. On a
cold February Saturday, between 6 A.M. and 2 P.M. McCoy’s people
planted 52 trees in the front yards of Ardmore homeowners, 34 more
trees than the previous year. McCoy Tree Surgery followed up the
planting with tree-care information for homeowners, proving that they
are committed to educating the public and insuring healthy tree-lined
streets for years to come. MCCOY TREE SURGERY IS GOOD NEWS FOR OKLAHOMA’S URBAN FORESTS!
