TUSLA PUBLIC SCHOOLS SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL CENTER
On April 14, 2000, to celebrate the grand opening of the new Tulsa
Public Schools Safety and Environmental Center, 2000 elementary school
students gathered to plant some 2000 varieties of flowers and trees,
all donated by local nurseries. Students planted redbuds and pin oaks,
pansies and daisies. After planting, the students were treated to a
cook-out and entertainment provided by a group of off-duty firemen.
These young gardeners participated in a celebration which
they’ll remember each time they see the new building. For many years to
come, they will be able to watch their trees grow and remember that
they had a hand in it all. The beautification of the TPS SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL CENTER IS GOOD NEWS FOR OKLAHOMA'S ENVIRONMENT!
