You can’t help but marvel at the before and after photos taken by the Hobart Beautification Commission of its numerous downtown tree planting, landscaping and lot enhancement projects.

Where there were once barren sidewalks, now there are benches, flower planters and new trash containers in the shade of many newly planted trees. Where there were eyesores on corners, now stand beautifully landscaped beds of flowers and shrubs. And now each special season is celebrated with decorative displays on the corners of the Kiowa County Courthouse grounds.
