Idabel DJs have fun with the anti-litter public service announcements
|
When the McClean Team folks down in McCurtain County
say “Let’s talk trash,” they mean it, uh, LITTER-ally. Even the name it
uses – McClean – brings a smile when you discover the letters represent
the words “McCurtain County Litter Education Awareness Network.”
The McClean Team’s broad coalition of organizations developed
a series of ten 30-second anti-litter public service announcements that
have aired since May on every radio station in the county. The ads are
simple, but quite effective because they use well-known local people
who seldom are heard on the radio.

The sheriff’s office now has hired a deputy to
enforce the anti-litter laws and stations beyond the county are
prepared to take the campaign to a regional level. For its use of
limited funds, dedication and big ideas to get an important message
across, THE McCLEAN TEAM IN IDABEL IS GOOD NEWS FOR OKLAHOMA’S FIGHT AGAINST LITTER!
