If you live in Oklahoma City, it's time to hug a
tree. Or at least hug the people who have created
the comprehensive
guidebook about how to select and care for trees in central Oklahoma.
The Oklahoma City Planning Department has published "Putting Down
Roots," 117 pages of colorful, helpful information, and they've made it
free.
"Putting Down Roots" guides users through proper
plant selection for our environment and shows color photos of each
tree. It also gives tips for care, soil preparation, planting, and
design considerations, along with listing valuable resources.
