Of the numerous dynamic environmental programs
offered year-in and year-out by the Horticulture Department at Oklahoma
State University in Stillwater, two new ones not only had immediate
positive results, they also hold promise for greater impact in the
future.
Led by Dr. Mike Schnelle, Pat Brolin and Dr. Kathleen Kelsey,
the OSU faculty team provided an effective trio of workshops to a
Stillwater homeowner group living in an area considered an
environmental risk. Also, green professionals and master gardeners
throughout the state took home invaluable lessons from a Commercial
Landscape and Integrated Pest Management workshop.
By
providing targeted populations with finely tuned educational
opportunities for a more beautiful and livable environment, the
Oklahoma State University Horticulture Department is good, green news
for homeowners and environmental professionals throughout Oklahoma.
