This massive exercise in civic pride involved 600 volunteers who built an incredible public playground in just five days.  Just as amazing was the amount of planning involved to make the project come together in just one year. Our Environmental Excellence judges used a lot of exclamation marks in praising how the project brought the people of Hobart together.  One noted that they have “created something wonderful where there was nothing.” Congratulations to Community Effort Environmental Excellence Award winner, Hobart Main Street for its community effort in turning hard work into delightful play!
