Pride in McAlester for generating more than 68-hundred volunteers for this spring’s clean-up activities and accomplishing some equally astonishing results after just one year of operations.  The nearly half-million pounds of materials collected included e-waste, tires, books, furniture and the more traditional recyclables.  About two dozen special events kept the people of McAlester involved despite periodic thunderstorms.
