Pride in McAlester for carrying out its mission of leading and encouraging the businesses and residents of McAlester to beautify their city.  In its first year, the group organized an amazing 68-hundred volunteers who collected 211 tons of trash.  Other special projects included a collection of hazardous household wastes and recyclables, repainting of curbs, removal of non-compliant signage, and the planting of 210 trees and 13-hundred bulbs.
