9:15 am - "Put Yourself on the Map" Pamela Lewis, Director Oklahoma Scenic Byways University of Oklahoma Outreach Richard Andrews, Oklahoma Byways Coordinator Oklahoma Department of Transportation Will discuss and answer your questions about the award-winning and exciting OKLAHOMA SCENIC BYWAYS project and how Oklahoma communities can capitalize on history, culture, geography and discover unique marketability in the 21st Century. 10:00 am – Break to Exhibits & Silent Auction bidding 10:30 am – "Down in The Dumps" Fenton Rood – Manager, Land Protection Division Oklahoma Dept Environmental Quality Will discuss and answer y our questions concerning DEQ rules and regulations concerning illegal dumping and address how small communities can begin to abate this unsightly and expensive problem Speaker representing the Association of Oklahoma County Commissioners Will discuss and answer your questions about the emerging partnerships of Oklahoma county commissioners and community volunteers who resolve to put the brakes on the very ugly practice of illegal dumping. 11:20 am – Break to Exhibits & Silent Auction 11:45 am – CELEBRATING EXCELLENCE LUNCHEON Conference Keynote Address by 
Presentation of the Keep Oklahoma Beautiful Visionary Leadership Award to the Oklahoma Sustainability Network 1:30 pm - "Beautifying Your Community: Priceless!" Make the connection between beautification efforts and community economic viability. The work you do is incredibly important and has a real dollar and cents value to your community. Dana Shadid – Executive Director, Oklahoma Community Institute Will discuss and answer your questions about how and why beautification, historic preservation, litter abatement campaigns, landscaping and tree-planting are important elements adding to the quality of life in your community and how that relates to your community’s life-span. 2:15 pm to Exhibits and Final Silent Auction Bidding 3:00pm – "How to Ask For (and get) The Money You Need" Rick Johnson – Special Projects Branch Manager OK Dept Transportation Will discuss and answer your questions about obtaining federal enhancement funds through ODOT. You will hear the process, illustrated by success stories from Oklahoma towns. Ray Murphy – Director, Oklahoma Center for Rural Development, Tahlequah Will discuss and answer questions concerning funding opportunities for small communities in Oklahoma and the Center’s new "Virtual Community" website and how it can help you draw new resources to your community.
