The mission of Keep Oklahoma Beautiful is to empower Oklahoma citizens to preserve and enhance the state's natural beauty and ensure a healthy, sustainable environment.
Keep Oklahoma Beautiful (KOB) is building a network of affiliate organizations across the state. Consisting of cities, counties, communities, nonprofit organizations and committees, these groups will work with us in achieving this mission.
To become a KOB affiliate, follow the process outlined below - a series of simple steps.
AFFILIATE APPLICATION PROCESS
Complete and submit the online Affiliate Application Form to establish your organization as a provisional Affiliate. Applicants will receive email notification from KOB within 10 business days, confirming provisional status which is the go-ahead signal to begin completing the following steps and submitting the information called for. Organizations can take as long as 60 days to complete the steps and may call upon KOB staff to help with any part of the process.
STEP ONE: Determine your organization's structure and (if applicable) board membership.
STEP TWO: Prepare your organization's mission statement.
STEP THREE: Prepare your bylaws or the guidelines or ordinance or resolution that created your organization.
STEP FOUR: Establish funding sources (may be in-kind) and a budget.
When all steps have been completed and your submitted information has been received by KOB, your organization will move to active Affiliate status. Upon payment of the annual fee, you become eligible for all Affiliate benefits. The annual Affiliate due of $150.00 is to be received by July 1 of each year.
