Keep Oklahoma Beautiful is asking young people to take action in the fight against litter and illegal dumping in Oklahoma.

High School and Post-Secondary Students are challenged to tackle this issue in a 30-second video clip that conveys to all citizens of Oklahoma that littering is costly, deplorable, illegal and just downright wrong. The winning video clips will appear across the internet and on television as PSA's sparking a campaign to encourage personal responsibility as the foundation for keeping Oklahoma beautiful.

After all entries have been judged, the top 4 winners in each division will be uploaded to KOB's Facebook page, where the public will vote for their favorite. The overall winners will be announced by February 20, 2012.

The winning videos will be posted on KOB's website, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube page and may also appear as Public Service Announcements on television stations throughout Oklahoma. Winners will also receive a cash prize of $750!

Entries must be created by students and will be judged in the following divisions

• High School (grades 9-12 )
• Post-Secondary (colleges, universities, technical and community colleges, etc.)

Students in public, private and parochial institutions, as well as those who are home schooled are eligible to participate.

HOW TO ENTER:

Those wishing to enter the contest must register with KOB between September 19, 2011 and November 15, 2011. Note that registration and submission of your video are two completely separate actions.

REGISTRATION:

When KOB receives your registration, a packet of information, including litter facts, will be sent to you. Registration closes on November 15, 2011.

SUBMISSION:

Submission of completed videos will be made online beginning at any time after you register. All videos must be received no later than December 31, 2011 at 11:59 PM CST.
