Frank Gierhart, of the Oklahoma Route 66 Association, is being honored in the Keep Oklahoma Beautiful “Volunteer Spotlight” during September.
Frank is described as a “dream volunteer” by those who have had the honor of working with him. This past year, Frank has been instrumental in orchestrating the restoration of the historic Rock Creek Bridge and the area surrounding it on an old alignment of Route 66 in Sapulpa. “He always goes above and beyond anything that is asked of him,” commented OK Route 66 Association Executive Director Marilyn Emde. “He has been instrumental in working with our association.”
Aside from his time spent volunteering with the Oklahoma Route 66 Association, Frank can be found helping the Sapulpa Historical Society, Sapulpa Main Street, Sapulpa Chamber and the Sapulpa Pride Committee.
