KEEP OKLAHOMA BEAUTIFUL WILL HELP
Through its affiliation with Keep America Beautiful, GAC statewide sponsor Devon Energy, the national GAC sponsors and other sponsors and partners, KOB is able to offer registered groups in the GAC FREE supplies, grants, lawn & garden equipment and awards.
FREE Supplies & In-Kind Donations
Thanks to the national sponsor of the Great American Cleanup, KOB is able to offer registered organization in the GAC the following supplies:
- FREE Trash Bags from GLAD®
- FREE Bottled Water from Nestlé
- FREE bio-degradable plates and recyclable cups from SOLO®
These supplies are available to groups who register for the Great American Cleanup™ in Oklahoma and submit an In-Kind Donation Request. Groups who receive these supplies also agree to submit a WrapUP Report at the conclusion of their event(s).
Cash Prizes and Grants
- Devon GAC Achievement Award
All registered groups in the Great American Cleanup are eligible to receive the Devon GAC Achievement Award. Two outstanding GAC efforts in Oklahoma will be recognized and receive a $1000 cash prize. Click here for more information.
Registered groups and organizations are eligible to submit a grant request for either the StartUP Grant or the Growth Grant, both funded by OGE Energy Corp. To learn more about these grants and submit a request, click here. Applications are due February 22, 2012.
Lawn & Garden Equipment
TROY-BILT®, a national sponsor of the GAC, has made a generous donation of lawn & garden equipment to Keep Oklahoma Beautiful. Registered groups and organizations are eligible to enter an essay contest to win this equipment. Click here for more information. Entries are due March 16, 2012.
Benefits, Awards, Recognition
In addition to the obvious environmental and economic benefits you will see as a result of your work, all groups who participate in the Great American Cleanup™ in Oklahoma will:
- Publish your event information to its website and the national GAC website to help drive more volunteers to your event;
- Help provide PR for your organization and event through the distribution of press releases, social media and templates that you can use in your community to help spread the word about your various activities;
- Eligible projects will be entered into various award categories in KOB's annual Environmental Excellence Awards Competition.
