New for 2013!
Keep Oklahoma Beautiful has made several improvements to the registration process for the 2013 Great American Cleanup™ in Oklahoma. These changes were made to help the hundreds of organizations that register for this program have a much higher success rate by attracting more volunteers to their events and ensuring that an adequate number of supplies and in-kind donations are made available.
Step 1: Register your Business, Group or Organization
Businesses, groups or organizations wishing to participate in the Great American Cleanup must first register for the Great American Cleanup™ in Oklahoma with Keep Oklahoma Beautiful. You will no longer be required to submit a separate form to Keep America Beautiful, KOB will handle all of that for you!
Upon successfully submitting the registration form (found here), you will receive an email containing:
- Registration Confirmation
- A link to the in-kind materials request
- A participant packet which includes logos, sample press releases and other documents to help you with your GAC event
- Instructions on how to add your event(s) to the official GAC in Oklahoma Event Calendar

NOTE: If you don't receive your registration confirmation within 24 hours please check your junk/spam folder and then contact Sonny Wilkinson (405-286-9141 or firstname.lastname@example.org) ASAP.
Step 2: In-Kind Program Materials Request
Trying to determine how many trash bags, banners and other materials hasn't always been an exact science. Some groups have received too much and others, too litte. To correct this, KOB is asking for your help!
You may make your request for any of the in-kind items by using our "GAC Store," found here.
KOB staff will review your request and contact you if any adjustments need to be made. Thanks to our partnership with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, supplies will be delivered to the ODOT County Maintenance Yard closest to you. You'll receive a call when they are ready to pick up!
Please note that program materials are limited and will be provided based on availability.
Step 3: Add Your Event to the GACinOK Event Calendar
Want to attract more volunteers to your event? Here's how KOB can help. Throughout the 3-month campaign, KOB will be sending out emails and press releases directing people to our GACinOK Events Calendar. This calendar will allow people to search for events by type of activity, geographic area and date.
You can have more than one event during the program period (March 1 - May 31), we just ask that you submit a different event registration form for each event. This will help KOB keep track of everything a little better and also enable us to attract more volunteers to your GAC event(s).
Our website receives hundreds of hits daily from individuals looking for ways they can help with the GAC. Why not attract them to your event(s) and enhance an already successful project. So, please complete the event listing as best you can. If you need to change a time or date, simply call the KOB office and we'll make the change for you!

Step 4: Submit your WrapUP Report
When submitting your WrapUP report, you will no longer be required to submit a report to KOB, ODOT and KAB. All you have to do now is submit one copy to KOB and we'll handle the rest. The deadline for submitting the WrapUP report has been moved to July 1st to give you a little more time to get everything in to KOB.
Want to get a head start on reporting? Click here to download a WrapUP Report Worksheet to take with you to your event. All the information on this form is almost identical to what will be asked on the Official 2012 WrapUP Report. You may submit one report for all of your GAC activities or, if you would like, you may submit one for each of your events when they conclude. It's up to you!
