Pretty Clean Places Stay Pretty Clean
Research shows that attractive, clean environments tend to stay that way. Conversely, unattractive, litter-strewn areas will only worsen. Prevent future community eyesores by cleaning up, painting up and fixing up today.

Reports also show that a cleaner environment and town helps community members feel safe. A recent Keep America Beautiful survey revealed that 89% of community leaders reporting Great American Cleanup™ results indicated that their volunteers felt safer in their communities after participating in the cleanup activities.

Behind every effort you will make as part of the Great American Cleanup™, will be a story of eyesores becoming the absolute pride of a community. Across the state of Oklahoma and the nation, these efforts collectively add up to a major environmental improvement effort.

KEEP OKLAHOMA BEAUTIFUL WILL HELP

KOB can assist you in your efforts. Through its affiliation with Keep America Beautiful and the GAC national sponsors, certain promotional items and support materials are available for you to use on your projects: posters, banners, trash bags (in limited supply), media kits, public relations assistance, creative ideas for projects, guidelines for volunteers, etc.

Benefits, Awards, Recognition
In addition to the obvious environmental and economic benefits you will see as a result of your work, all groups who participate in the Great American Cleanup™ in Oklahoma will:
  • Have project summary published on the KOB website
  • Be eligible to enter projects(s) into KOB’s statewide environmental excellence competition.
