Jeanette's involvement with Keep Oklahoma Beautiful began through her position as Business & Community Relations Specialist for the Oklahoma Dept. of Environmental Quality. Previously, she served as Constituent Services Division Director for Governor Brad Henry. She quickly became active on the KOB board - volunteering for a committee and helping organize the annual awards banquet.
During her time in the Governor's office and at DEQ, Jeanette traveled throughout the state and developed a passion for keeping Oklahoma beautiful.
"From tall grass prairies to forested hills, Oklahoma boasts an abundance of scenic landscapes," Nance said. "I'm thrilled with the opportunity to lead KOB and preserve the beauty of those landscapes for generations to come."
Jeanette's nonprofit experience includes serving as assistant to the Executive Director at both the OKC Realtor Association and the OKC office of Junior Achievement. She volunteered for the Susan G. Komen "Race for the Cure" in Bricktown for three consecutive years. She has served as treasurer on the nonprofits boards of Pioneer Country Emmaus and her neighborhood association.
Jeanette and husband Bob are Edmond residents. She is a UCO Political Sciences graduate with emphasis on Public Administration. The mother of three married children, she has four grandchildren. She is soon taking a mission trip to Africa where she and others from her church have, over several annual trips, built a church.
Welcome to KOB, Jeanette!
