Keep Oklahoma Beautiful is offering FREE workshops - designed for those interested in expanding a community improvement organization - starting a new organization - or for those who may simply be exploring the idea of starting a group to beautify and enrich the quality of community life.

Participants will hear ideas, tips, tools and inspiration to help efforts aimed at improving the aesthetic, sustainable and environmental quality of community life. Those who attend will have an opportunity to become part of the growing network of Keep Oklahoma Beautiful Affiliates across the state and meet others who have similar goals and experiences.

Starting at 10 AM each workshops will include a complimentary lunch and should adjourn by 3 PM. Among the topics to be discussed be:

  • An introduction to Keep Oklahoma Beautiful programs*;
  • Using the KOB online Community Improvement Guide*;
  • The Basics of Grant-Writing*;
  • A Beautiful Community is Good Business....What YOU DO Is Valuable Work*;
  • Healthy Trees, Healthy Communities*;
  • Buy Fresh, Buy Local (Stillwater); Transforming Derelict Buildings (Tahlequah);
  • Are You Using Social Media*;
  • Engaging Your Local College or University (Woodward);
  • Innovative Funding (Lawton);
  • How a Landscaping Plan Changed a University (Lawton);

EVERYONE MUST REGISTER TO ATTEND. DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION IS 3-DAYS PRIOR TO EVENT.
