Keep Oklahoma Beautiful Announces P&K Equipment Grant Winners

Edmond, Okla. - Keep Oklahoma Beautiful (KOB) with P&K Equipment has announced 2018 Great American Cleanup – Oklahoma’s P&K Equipment Grant Winners.  

Great American Cleanup – Oklahoma (GACOK) is part of the nation’s largest annual cleanup. Organizations in all 77 Oklahoma counties coordinate local cleanups, education and beautification projects through March, April and May.

Participation and in GACOK is open to any individual and organization in Oklahoma. GACOK participants have the opportunity to apply for P&K Equipment grants as well as Oklahoma Gas and Electric (OG&E) cash grants.

“As Oklahoma’s largest John Deere dealer, P&K Equipment has eleven locations throughout the state, as well as two locations in Northwest Arkansas,” Scott Eisenhauer, General Manager, P&K, said. “The communities and the people we serve are at the very core of why we do what we do. We’re proud to partner with Keep Oklahoma Beautiful to help local organizations throughout the state make their communities cleaner, better, stronger. The John Deere, Honda, and STIHL tools and equipment that we provide as part of this grant are just tokens of our thanks for the work these organizations put forth every day.”

The P&K grants recipients announced were Luther Parks Commission receiving a Honda Self Propelled Lawn Mower, Oklahoma City Farmer’s Market and Pride in McAlester each receiving a STIHL Curved Shaft Line Trimmer, and Town of Fargo and Friends of Dow Lake each receiving a STIHL Straight Shaft Trimmer.

Additional winners were Twin Cities Revitalization Project and The City of Healdton each receiving a STIHL Hand Held Blower, The City of Comanche and Okeene Historic Society each receiving a STIHL Backpack Blower, and City of Stroud and Henryetta FFA each receiving a P&K Maintenance Bucket.

“I feel that it is our responsibility as a city to actively engage in cleanup projects and the beautification of our community,” Chuck Ralls, City Manager, City of Comanche said. “We should also enable our citizens to be involved in these types of projects. This will be my third year participating in GAC and each year we are seeing improved success. I attribute much of our success to the partnership with have with KOB and the other affiliates that work with them. I am also appreciative of the support we have received from our local community and the many volunteers that make our cleanup programs what they are.”
