Jeanette Nance is a dedicated civic servant with a heart for Oklahoma. She holds a degree in political science and public administration from the University of Central Oklahoma and is working on a Masters of Public Administration. Before joining the KOB team, she served as Director of Constituent Services for Governor Brad Henry and in External Affairs at the OK Dept. of Environmental Quality, along with other roles. She serves on the Keep America Beautiful (KAB) State Leader Council, Great American Cleanup Advisory Committee and the KAB National Awards Committee.
Linh M. Sasser, Projects Coordinator, joined Keep Oklahoma Beautiful in January 2018. Linh's previous experience is in nonprofits, higher education and the energy sector. She has served on nonprofit young professional boards as marketing and communications, social and board chairs. This involvement has allowed Linh to express her love of planning events, giving back to the community, meeting new people and having new adventures.
Linh spent much of her childhood relocating through the Southern United States and South America, prior to settling in Oklahoma. Linh received her Journalism and Broadcasting degree with an emphasis in Public Relations from Oklahoma State University. In her free-time, she enjoys traveling and, learning about many cultures, especially through cooking and music. When asked if she has children, she states she has a very spoiled chorkie, who is named after her favorite racecar driver.
Amelia is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma, where she studied Human Relations and minored in Communication. She is a born and raised Okie, reigning from Edmond. She has a passion for nonprofits and has a desire to enrich people's lives through science. When not being a stellar member of our office, you can usually find her pursuing her hobbies of photography, cooking, yoga, hiking, and traveling. She is a proud cat mom and a volunteer for Pet Angels Rescue.
Shavara Johnson, Recycle Research Facilitator, is a graduate of Georgia Southern University where she studied English with a minor in Public Relations. She joined the KOB team in January 2018 and has a strong passion for reaching as many communities as she can to expand the education regarding recycling. When she isn’t in the office you can find her showering her sweet baby boy with kisses, going on dinner dates with her husband or chasing her crazy cat around the house.
Having lived in Oklahoma City for only two years Shavara finds herself in love with this charming city, the amazing Thunder fans and the diverse selection of amazing restaurants. Shavara has lived in over seven states from birth until adulthood and has been quick to feel at home in this beautiful state. She hopes to empower as many people as she can to preserve the natural beauty of this great state.
