SELENA SIMMONS

Selena Simmons joined Keep Oklahoma Beautiful in 2025 as Education and Recycling Coordinator. She recently graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Public Relations and brings experience in peer education, event planning and community outreach. While at OU, she led advocacy efforts through the Office of Advocacy and Education and organized large-scale musical theatre events and corporate functions through campus roles and internships.

At KOB, Selena facilitates the organization’s litter education programs and leads the development of recycling curriculum and activities for youth engagement. She oversees programs like the UnCapped Art Contest, UpCycled Invention Contest, End Litter Video Contest, and GAC T-Shirt Design Contest. She also manages and promotes the Lend-A-Bin recycling program, helping communities across the state reduce waste and recycle more effectively.

Selena is passionate about sparking change through education and believes small actions can lead to big, lasting outcomes. She brings a strong foundation in advocacy and a lifelong love of the arts, both of which shape her creative and values-driven approach to environmental education.
