Keep Oklahoma Beautiful has been working to protect Oklahoma's natural beauty since 1965. What started as a statewide litter prevention initiative has grown into a network of 70+ grassroots organizations working across all 77 counties on everything from community cleanups to environmental education to public art and native landscaping.
Our Mission
Keep Oklahoma Beautiful empowers Oklahomans to preserve and enhance the state's natural beauty while ensuring a healthy, sustainable environment.
Our Vision
We envision a future where Oklahomans in every corner of the state are active stewards of the land they love, and where no community has to work toward a cleaner, greener Oklahoma on its own.
Our Core Values
-
Environmental Leadership
We model sustainable practices in our operations, demonstrating the environmental stewardship we promote across Oklahoma.
-
Community Partnership
We build collaborative relationships with affiliates, sponsors, and community organizations throughout Oklahoma's 77 counties.
-
Professional Excellence
We maintain high standards in program delivery, fiscal management, and organizational operations.
-
Accountability
We operate with transparency and fiscal responsibility to our donors, affiliates, and the communities we serve.
What That Looks Like
KOB works toward that future by supporting the organizations already doing the work. We provide grants, training, and resources to grassroots environmental organizations so they can focus on what they do best — showing up for their communities.
We believe that lasting environmental change happens at the local level, built by the people who live there and sustained by networks strong enough to support them over the long term. KOB exists to be that network for Oklahoma.
Our Affiliation
Keep Oklahoma Beautiful is a state affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, the national organization behind the Great American Cleanup and one of the country's most recognized environmental programs. As a KAB affiliate, KOB connects Oklahoma communities to national resources, best practices, and a network of environmental organizations working toward shared goals across the country.
