KOB's student programs give Oklahoma K-12 students a chance to engage with their environment, express their ideas, and earn recognition for the work they do. Students submit their own work — no nomination required. Winners are celebrated at the annual Student Environmental Champions Awards Luncheon.
2026 Programs
KOB's student programs are being updated for 2026. Full program details including eligibility, submission guidelines, and deadlines will be posted here once finalized. Sign up for the KOB newsletter or follow us on social media to be notified when programs open.
For Teachers
KOB programs are designed to fit into existing classroom curricula. Participating classrooms whose students win awards receive free tickets to the annual luncheon — including one adult chaperone per ten students — making it a full field trip experience.
If you have questions about KOB's student programs or want to be notified when the 2026 programs open, contact Selena Simmons at education@keepok.org.
About the Luncheon
Winners from every KOB student program are recognized at the annual Student Environmental Champions Awards Luncheon. The event is held at a venue students can explore after the ceremony.
2026 luncheon details will be posted here once confirmed.
What Winners Receive
In addition to statewide recognition, students and classrooms selected as winners receive free tickets to the annual Student Environmental Champions Awards Luncheon — held at a venue students can explore after the ceremony, like a zoo, aquarium, or science museum.
Classrooms receive free tickets for all students and one adult chaperone per ten children. Individual student winners receive one free ticket. Additional guests are welcome at a ticketed rate.
