The Great American Cleanup is one of the largest community improvement programs in the United States. Every spring, Oklahomans across all 77 counties come together to remove litter, restore public spaces, and take visible action for the places they call home. Keep Oklahoma Beautiful coordinates the Great American Cleanup in Oklahoma as part of Keep America Beautiful's national program.

What is the Great American Cleanup?

Every year from March 1 through May 31, individuals, organizations, businesses, and schools across Oklahoma register cleanup events in their own communities. From roadside litter removal to park restoration, GAC participants choose the project, organize the volunteers, and do the work — KOB provides the support, supplies, and coordination to make it happen.

In 2026, we're asking every Oklahoma county to show up. Whether your event draws five volunteers or five hundred, it counts.

How to Participate

Register a Cleanup Event

Organizations, community groups, schools, and businesses can register a cleanup event anywhere in Oklahoma. Registration is free and open March 1 through May 31.
