Every year, KOB celebrates the Oklahoma students who are already doing the work of reducing waste, protecting natural spaces, and building the environmental habits their communities need. The Student Environmental Champions program recognizes that work with awards, recognition, and a celebration worth showing up for.
The Annual Luncheon
Each year, KOB hosts the Student Environmental Champions Awards Luncheon, an invite-only event honoring winning students and classrooms from across Oklahoma. It's held at a venue students can explore (past locations have included zoos, aquariums, and science museums), making it a field trip and a celebration in one!
Award winners receive free tickets. Classrooms receive free tickets for all students and one adult chaperone per ten children. Additional guests are welcome at a ticketed rate determined by the venue.
Student Programs
KOB's student programs give Oklahoma Kâ12 youth free, standards-aligned curriculum, hands-on contests, and a real shot at statewide recognition. Students submit their own work, no nomination required, and winners are celebrated each year at the annual luncheon. Check out our education programs!
About the Programs
KOB's student programs are open to Oklahoma students from kindergarten through college. Each program is built around student-submitted work and includes free curriculum, guidelines, and rubrics for the 2026â2027 school year.
