Keep Oklahoma Beautiful is inviting communities, organizations, schools, churches, and businesses to host a Route 66 Cleanup Event anywhere along the Oklahoma stretch of Historic Route 66.

KOB Provides:

  • Trash bags, safety vests, and gloves
  • Recognition and potential awards at our annual Environmental Excellence Celebration

You Provide:

  • A cleanup team (any size!)
  • A cleanup location near or on Route 66
  • Photos of your event
  • A short report with your impact (# of bags, volunteers, etc.)

Ideal Cleanup Locations:

  • Roadsides along Historic Route 66
  • Small-town main streets and alleys
  • Parks, welcome signs, or tourism areas
  • Highway on/off ramps
  • Vacant lots or eyesores near Route 66

When Can I Host a Cleanup?

Anytime! But we especially encourage cleanups during:

  • March–May (Great American Cleanup)
  • September–October (Fall Refresh)
