Grant Opportunities

Keep Oklahoma Beautiful offers exclusive grant opportunities to our Affiliates through the Roadside & Environmental Grant Program sponsored by the Department of Environmental Quality and the Department of Transportation. These grants are designed to support community-led projects that align with the mission of KOB such as flower and tree planting, litter remediation, park beautification, main street rejuvenation, and more.

Who can apply?

Only KOB Affiliates are eligible to apply for these grants, ensuring that the support directly benefits organizations already committed to our shared sustainability goals.

Grant Options and Limitations -

There are two categories of grants available. Each Affiliate can apply for and potentially receive one grant in each category per funding cycle, but they cannot win multiple grants within the same category.

Funding Details -

Grant amounts vary depending on the scope of the project and available funds. Selection is competitive and based on several criteria including the applicant's good standing with KOB, potential for impact and community benefit of the proposed project, and the overall number of applications received. Although we try our best to make sure each applicant receives something!

Application Timeline -

Grants are awarded annually, with applications opening in January and recipients announced mid February. Affiliates are given until September to complete their projects, with some flexibility to work with our Affiliate Coordinator on precise deadlines. Wrap up reports are due October 1 to ensure grant funds are used responsibly and to keep the organization in good standing for the next year's application process. This timeline allows Affiliates to plan and implement impactful projects with the confidence of receiving support from KOB.
