Recycling Resources

Find recycling options anywhere in Oklahoma.

KOB helps you find recycling options across Oklahoma. You might need a drop-off spot near you, or a place for items your local program won’t take. These tools can help.

Find a Recycling Center

Search for recycling drop-off locations near you by material type. Recycle Nation and Earth911 both list sites across Oklahoma and the rest of the country.

Tip: Call ahead before you go. Sites can change what they accept.

Recycle the Hard Stuff

Some items aren’t accepted by most curbside or drop-off programs. These include electronics, beauty products, and some plastics. TerraCycle offers recycling options for hard-to-recycle items. Some programs are free and others charge a small fee, so double check the site.

Oklahoma Recycling Lists

The Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) keeps statewide recycling lists. They include city programs, mail-in programs, and a map of recycling businesses. See the DEQ recycling lists. Have old computers or monitors? Find electronics recycling in Oklahoma.

Find a Recycling Event

Communities across Oklahoma hold events where you can drop off items like electronics, tires, or household chemicals. Check our events calendar to see what’s happening near you.

Reduce What You Recycle

The most effective recycling is the recycling you don't have to do. A few habits that help:

  • Buy products with less packaging, or packaging that can be recycled
  • Choose reusable items over single-use ones when you can
  • Donate or reuse items before you throw them away
  • Check what your local program accepts before you put items in the bin. The wrong items can spoil a whole load of recycling.

Litter and recycling go hand in hand

KOB's End Litter program supports communities across Oklahoma in reducing waste and keeping public spaces clean.

Better Recycling Data for Oklahoma

DEQ received a federal grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to improve recycling data across the state. KOB works with DEQ and other community partners to help Oklahomans find recycling information. Better data helps communities build better recycling programs. Watch for local updates as this work moves forward.
