Our Work

End Litter

End Litter

Cleaner roads. Healthier communities. A more beautiful Oklahoma.

Litter is one of the most visible environmental problems in Oklahoma — and one of the most solvable. KOB works with communities across all 77 counties to prevent litter before it happens, clean it up when it does, and build the local capacity to keep it from coming back.

The Problem

Oklahoma generates millions of pounds of roadside litter every year. The cost goes beyond aesthetics — litter degrades ecosystems, contaminates waterways, and signals to communities that their environment doesn't matter. KOB believes it does.

What We Do

  • Education and Behavior Change

Changing litter behavior requires more than cleanup events. KOB supports education programs that help Oklahomans — from students to community leaders — understand the real cost of litter and take ownership of the places they live.

  • Grants and Resources for Affiliates

KOB affiliates are on the front lines of litter prevention across the state. We provide grants, cleanup supplies, and coordination support so local organizations can run effective cleanup programs in their own communities.

  • Year-Round Cleanup Support

Litter doesn't stop between events, and neither do we. KOB supports affiliate-led cleanup efforts throughout the year — not just during major events — so Oklahoma communities can take action when and where they need to.
